I would love to share with you a quick tip about how to put yourself in a good mood INSTANTLY.

Do this quick mental exercise with me:

  • Start thinking of something nice that will happen in the future. Something which, if it happens, it will make you really, really happy.
  • Stay with those thoughts for just a couple of minutes.
  • Now, notice the positive change in your mood, the energizing of your body, and the smile that pops up on your face.

That’s it, it is that simple!

Considering the above, it is reasonable to conclude that our bodies react in the same way to our thoughts regardless of whether the thoughts are concerning our past, present, or future.

If you can vividly imagine the future that makes you happy, you will feel joy and happiness in anticipation of that future.

So why not, train our minds to do this more often?


One of the main tools of self-leadership and personal mastery is controlling the mind. Our mind has great potential to improve our lives, like a fertile garden.

However, we need to make sure that we are not only feeding it with worries, anxieties, and self-created fears. These thoughts are draining our energies and injuring our souls.

To live life to the fullest, commit to reframing your negative thoughts into positive ones. Be a gatekeeper of what is allowed to enter your mind.

We can train our minds!!

All it takes is exercise and discipline, just like any other muscle.

In any case, I want to emphasize that optimism and focusing on the good is not something you are born with. It is something you adopt by active training of your mind. It is the commitment of taking persistent action to master yourself, which in turn will boost your confidence and ability to create the future you desire.

We CAN control our thoughts, so why not make them work for us.

The quote comes from one of my favorite books about personal growth The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari by Robin Sharma.

It is an easy read using a fable format to walk you through the basic principles of self-management and mental mastery. It teaches us to dare greatly, dream that we are more than just the sum of our current circumstances.
